I believe that young children learn best through play. To achieve the most effective response, I endeavour to:
- stimulate the child through play, to experience movements that are useful in daily life
- break down movements and sensations into individual components that a child can understand and practice
- allow them to engage actively in their treatment process, which is highly motivating and thus very effective.
- encourage parents and family to be actively involved as their co-operation and encouragement will help successfully integrate the learnt movements in the outside environment.
I also offer support with:
- positioning
- first visits to orthotics/wheelchair/seating clinic
- school and teacher liaision
- home equipment and adaptations
Please do not hesitate to contact me by email or phone to discuss the individual issues relevant to your own child and how I may be able to best support you with these.
